The Provider was ordered in fiscal year 1954 and built in 1956 for the USAF, but has never seen service in Vietnam. It placed into a boneyard in Arizona from 1981 to 1994, until it was saved from Air Heritage and beaut...

    Yep. That's a K. It has the JATO engines on it. Probably not needed at near empty cargo. You probably have to tie a car to each wing-tie down while taxiing in windy conditions.

    Este video me transporta a los años 1960- 1970. Nuestra compañía bandera COPA adquirió uno. Fue su primer avión turbohelice. Todos los panameños nos sentimos orgullosos y soñábamos volar en el. Transcurrieron los años pero los recuerdos inolvidables quedaron en nuestras memorias.

    When I was kid back home in the virgin islands St.Thomas we used these plane as ferries going to one island to the next I miss that I went to school to be a airplane mechanic but no family support

    Beautiful video and sounds! The BAC-111 holds a special place in my heart, as it was the very first airplane I flew on in my life, in 1970. LANICA AN-BBI, then many times on TACA YS-17-C and YS-18-C
